Bassendean is a stunning riverside suburb located on the Swan River, just 10 kilometres from the Perth CBD, and only five minutes from the world-famous Swan Valley Wine Region. Bassendean is known for its historic homes, picturesque riverside parklands, and quaint town centre.

Residents can catch the train on the Midland line to the city in a few short minutes while spending weekends enjoying the vast riverside parklands or a visit the wineries and restaurants of the Swan Valley.

Once a month the town centre hosts the Old Perth Road Markets along the main street, where residents can purchase local produce and hand made goods.

Lifestyle

Bassendean residents can walk to local cafes and small bars located in the town centre. Bassendean is also part of an extensive bike path network with cyclists being able to travel as far as Ellenbrook or Fremantle all on the bike path network. The suburb is home to a number of riverside parks including Sandy Beach Reserve and Success Hill Reserve.

Bassendean train station is the Midland line which links up to the Transperth rail network. Commencing in 2020, the nearby Bayswater Station is set to have a brand new train station costing in excess of $150 million. Upon completion, Bassendean residents will have quick access to the Forrestfield Airport Link, and the new Ellenbrook/Morley line via the new Bayswater Train Station.
